Torpedo 500 LL

With a 500g fill-weight, the Torpedo 500 is a classic Alpine mountaineering bag. Suitable for most summer mountaineering in ranges up to 5000 metres, the 500 can also be pushed into the shoulder periods of spring and autumn at lower altitudes. It is equally a very useful bag for non-mountaineering activities such as back-country hiking, trekking or travelling. With its weather-resistant shell and premium down fill, the Torpedo 500 is the most versatile bag in the crux range.

This sleeping bag is in clearance because the original stuff sack was lost. It has a new, replacement stuff sack. It is a size L (long) with a standard left hand zip.

Temperature Ratings

EN13537: 0˚C Comfort
-6˚C Lower limit
-20˚C Extreme

The comfort rating represents the lowest temperature at which a standard adult FEMALE can have a comfortable night’s sleep.

The lower limit represents the lowest temperature at which a standard adult MALE is deemed able to have a comfortable night’s sleep.

We like the EN13537 ratings at crux. Going by our own extensive experience, we feel they accurately reflect the temperature limitations of each sleeping bag for a comfortable night’s sleep. Individual tolerances may allow some people to go beyond these figures, but we believe this is at the discretion of the user and is not something to be claimed by us.
